"Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it." - Luke 18 : 17
Sunday School meets following the 9:00 am worship service and fellowship time on Sunday mornings. Grab a treat and bring your child(ren) downstairs. We meet from 10:30 am until 11:30 am, running simultaneously with Adult Education Bible Study. Sunday School is for all children, starting at age 3 through 6th grade, as one hour of the week where children are intentionally taught by staff and teachers about the Bible and the love of Jesus Christ.
Sunday School consists of both large and small group activities using Concordia Publishing House "Cross Explorations" curriculum. During the large group opening we collect offering, sing songs, learn the Bible story of the day, and do an activity together that helps the lesson come alive. The children then divide into three smaller groups, each small group having an adult leader and youth assistant. In our small group time, the children review their challenges, discuss the large group lesson, do an activity that connects with the lesson, and talk about the week's Daily Challenge.
Sunday School runs from Labor Day to Memorial Day, but children are welcome to join at any time!
